If you are new and wondering about my journey, check out the background here. Each week, I weigh in to stay accountable to myself and also to inspire/be inspired through connecting with others on their personal weight loss journey. I’d love to hear your story and connect with you. <3
Current Weight: 212 (Down 1 from last week)
First Goal: 199 (one-derland!)
Long Term Goal: 170
How I am winning this week: I ran 10 miles again this week as part of my half marathon training schedule! My long run day is Saturday and my husband had to work, so I woke up at 5:30 on the coldest day of the year so far (in So Cal) and made all 10 miles happen in time for breakfast and to let my husband get out the door on time. It was beautiful to see the sun come up at the beach, but it was miserably cold and kinda creepy before the sun rose. Since we do not see much inclement weather, I didn’t plan my wardrobe out very well; next time I bring a thicker jacket, gloves, and pepper spray! Notwithstanding my mistakes, I’m super proud of myself for not using time, work, cold, or anything else as an excuse to keep me from running forward!
Areas of improvement: I had jury duty all week, which totally threw off my exercise schedule and left me with some questionable lunch choices, so I’m bummed that this week, during the weekdays I let a lot of excuses stop me from my resolve. Must. Move. Forward. Better. Than. Before.
How I feel: I’m feeling the impending doom of returning to work after the winter holiday, but I’m also looking forward to getting back into a regular, predictable schedule.
What’s your journey like? I’d love to hear from you!

Weight is one thing – and good luck with your goals! – but if you can run 10 miles, you sure must be FIT! I can do 2!

Thanks! I’m totally celebrating that victory too!
It sounds like we are on a similar journey – though I’m not running or prepping for a marathon. I’ll be following your progress and hope we can inspire each other!

It’s amazing how a predictable schedule helps in so many ways. Congrats for running 10 miles…I don’t think I could get that far in a weeks’ worth of workouts! (Well, not yet.) Keep it up, you’re doing great!

Yeah, 10 miles, you are rocking and rolling. I am still just walking about 1 mile or so when on treadmill, I cant even begin to imagine running 10 miles. You go girl. I am down just shy of 14 lbs but have a long way to go.
